About SugarPop By Fye
SugarPop By Fye was created by our head designer, Jayde Gardner, and the inspiration behind it is interesting.
After watching the Marvel series Agent Carter in 2024, Jayde fell in love with the clothing the actors wore and after some research, fell even more in love with the styles, colours, and patterns of the 1940s and 50s.
Looking into it further, Jayde discovered a couple brands selling vintage inspired clothing. Since transitioning, she had never found her style until discoving vintage fashion. Seeing how amazing it looked and how fabulous she felt (and with the encouragement of her fiance), Jayde decided to adopt the style into her wardrobe.
As she was also a costume designer in her Drag Queen days, Jayde decided to give apparel and dressmaking a go and developed the unofficial first design, All Hallows’ Eve. This became the catalyst for wanting to start a fashion brand and after a year of sitting on the idea, SugarPop By Fye finally started to get up and going. Adding on to this, certain brands using polyester, cheap materials, and outsourced labour gave Jayde the drive to make SugarPop all about natural, high quality materials wherever possible, and local labour to ensure this brand lasts for as long as possible like it was in the 40s and 50s.
